A religious woman upon waking up each morning would open her front door stand on the porch and scream, “Praise the lord.” This infuriated her atheist neighbor who would always make sure to counter back, “there is no Lord.” One morning the atheist neighbor overheard his neighbor praying for food, thinking it would be funny, he went and bought her all sorts of groceries and left them on her porch. The next morning the lady screamed, “praise the Lord, who gave me this food.” The neighbor laughing so hard he could barely get the words out screamed “it wasn’t the Lord, it was me.” The lady without missing a beat screamed “praise the Lord for not only giving me food but making the atheist pay for it!!”
Note: this does NOT feature me!!!

Menstruation for dummies....
Leviticus 15:28-30
28 “‘...she must count off seven days, and after that she will be ceremonially clean. 29 On the eighth day she must take two doves or two young pigeons and bring them to the priest at the entrance to the tent of meeting. 30 The priest is to sacrifice one for a sin offering and the other for a burnt offering. In this way he will make atonement for her before the Lord for the uncleanness of her discharge.

Yeah, or an old testament pigeon, for that matter...
But as someone who praises Yahwe for his perfect character and justice, how can you say that?
Isn't what you're saying outright blasphemy?

Opps! Glad you mentioned the pigeon. I didn´t give enough consideration to him/her.
Blasphemy? Can´t see how... I´m not an O.T. Israelite. Besides, you don´t know WHO I praise, or why... Your concern is touching. But alas, you lecturing me about blasphemy is a bit like the pot calling the kettle black!
Still, while we´re on the topic, enjoy this one

Well, as a catholic nun, I would GUESS that you worship Yahwe - the same guy who considers female menstruation impure, and is thirsty for pigeon blood...
Or is it like one of those cases where your boyfriend USED to be a psycho, and now that he's on the meds, he's not the same person anymore...?

Well, John...
Have no idea how you ever came to the conclusion that I worship or praise God as the O.T. Israelites understood him here. As in the issue of stoning, I take my lead from the N.T understanding. In that revelation, you will actually see the person claiming to be God heal a woman with prolonged bleeding, ie. he touched her and was touched by her, \"unclean\" as she was. You will also see him running the pigeon sellers out of the Temple.
I have always understood menstruation as a positive sign of womanhood and the sacrifice of animals as idolatry.
Strange you mention the psycho... I had a friend who might fit that description...
Now, could we move this \"conversation\" somewhere else before someone starts complaining? Don´t want to hog their space.
